Theater Festival Updates and Opportunities...

We have one week left of regular rehearsals before we put all the pieces together for our final shows!!  We will perform each play once during the school day for other teams to see.  Our evening show for parents will start at 6:30 on Wednesday, November 5th with Romeo and Juliet, followed by a short intermission before Treasure Island.

Each student will have a "strike" job to perform after the show.  If all goes smoothly families should be headed home by 9:00 that evening.  We ask in advance that audience members stay for both performances so that the second show isn't playing for a partial crowd.  Thank you for all of your support so far!!

Please note the following details:

  • Costumes- Basic costume pieces are due MONDAY, OCTOBER 27th
  • Set Construction- Sign up to help build and paint (today and Wednesday)
  • Props Needed- Send in any pieces you may have on this list....
  • "Cast Party"- We will send out a list soon asking for food and beverage donations for a cast party

WiSH Program

For new students involved in the WiSH program the next training/orientation session is after school on Wednesday, Oct. 29th. I have attached a registration form here or there are copies in the Direction Center.

As a reminder... The WiSH program is a community service program It is open to students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade It requires students to commit one 40 minute period a week helping in a classroom with younger students. If students want to work at ABS, a bus will take students over on Wednesday afternoons around 1:20 through the end of the day. Students need to be able to keep up with their own work.

Contact Chris Ford if you have any questions.
