If you have to drop your child off early, please reinforce that the expectation is that students sitting in the front lobby until 7:55 am and engaging in a quiet activities. Ex. listening to music, reading or finishing homework. Thanks for your help with this.

Theater

Thank you for joining us for our evening performances Thursday night.  Your children did it all~ lights, props, sets, costumes, lines, flats, and more.  It is really incredible to see 93 young people putting together all of the pieces to make two shows happen in succession.  Amazing.

Also, a HUGE thank to the families who stayed late on Thursday to dismantle the set, put all props and costumes away, and clean classrooms, bathrooms, and even our project room.  We were all done by 9:00 pm!

Saturday, December 8th from 3:30 - 8:00 pm

Swift House has a long tradition in helping with The Polar Express, which raises over $100,000 each year for the Vermont Children's Trust Foundation. Last year we brought 70 elves to the event. We will meet at the downtown Burlington train station. Shirts and elf hats are provided if needed. Gary Howard, our beloved retired Swift Facilitator, will be the "Santa" on this day. Please note that we need all elves to stay through the entire shift.

Click here to sign up. Sign up by November 9th to secure your spot and reserve a shirt.

Please complete the form for each elf in your family so we get the proper head count. Once you have entered one name you will be provided a link to submit another response. Swiftie friends and alumni are welcome to come along. Parents, you make for great elves, too!

Fundraisers

We raised $2500 at Fun Night!  Thank you again for all of the parent and student work that went into this evening.  The energy was super positive with everyone pitching in.

Bottles and Cans help needed – our next official fundraiser if December 1st bottle drive – HOWEVER – we have been granted permission to collect the current bottles and cans that are in the bin behind the school and use that money towards the trip. I need a few folks to coordinate emptying the bin and bringing to Essex Beverage to redeem. There is supposedly quite a lot in there as of now. Is anyone willing/able to take this on? Please let me know ASAP. ~Shelly Masson

We also have had requests for pickups on Beartown Road before the date of the bottle drive.  Please let us know if you can help out.  ~Amy Skapof

School Days

New literature groups will begin next week.  This week we focus on putting together our shows will costumes, lights, sounds, props and sets.
