Independent Projects
Open House—for all students and families- Tuesday, January 29th, 2019
Swifties are well underway on their Independent Projects (5th-7th) and 8th Grade Challenge Research. After developing a focus question and supporting sub-focus questions, students organized these ideas into a concept-map and an outline. They generated a resource list and have begun their notecards, due this week.
Ms. Arapakos, WCS librarian, gave a fantastic presentation in the kiva on the many library resources available to us here at WCS. We ask students to bookmark and explore the WCS Library Resources. (Notice the link to passwords available to students. Passwords are required for access outside of the school building.) These resources include encyclopedias, databases, online access to magazines, online books, and Webpath Express which allows students to search well-vetted, middle-school accessible internet resources.
