Swift Independent Project Open House

Students are working hard to complete their Independent Project research reports.  Their next steps are to create a visual and a presentation to help them share what they've learned.  We are looking forward to our Open House on Thursday, January 25th @ 6:30 pm.

Having the parent audience at the Open House makes all of the difference in student engagement in this research.  Please be prepared to tour students' work throughout all four cores the night of the Open House.    Attendance is required for all students.  Please contact your child's core teacher if you need help with transportation or scheduling issues.

Thank you in advance for being a wonderful audience.

Williston Schools Annul Fund

Swift House contributions to the Williston Schools Annual Fund are low this year. These funds support many of our field trips and programs. Please consider making a donation. The Annual Fund completely funds our Vermont trips, including:

  • Grand Isle Camp Out in the fall
  • Flynn trip this winter (Carnival Caravan on March 16th) S
  • and Bar Picnic in the spring "Home Team" trip in June

The Annual Fund takes place of past fundraisers such as selling wrapping paper and writing individual checks for each field trip. Your support will help ensure that these trips and other activities and programs will continue as planned. If you have already contributed, thank you. If you can do so today, please click here: Williston FAP Annual Fund

Thank you!

Social Media Presentation

To learn more about the content from the Social Media Presentations held last week at WCS, please click here.  We had visitors from the Williston police department, the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations, the director of the Williston Community Justice Center, representatives from the State's Attorney office and high school all sharing their experiences with social media issues.

You can read through three presentations, one for parents, one for 5/6 grade and one for 7/8.
If you have further questions, please contact your child's core teacher or Chris Ford.  Another fantastic parent resource is Common Sense Media.
