 Williston Wins Campaign

We are getting near the end of the Williston Wins campaign and we still have a long way to go to reach our goal.  Families could you please use this pledge form to send in your contribution if you have not already done so.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Candidate Forum

Williston Central School hosted another successful Candidate Forum this Friday.  Students presented candidates with their own questions and decorated the auditorium with posters teaching us about each candidate.  Swift House was proudly represented by Jeff G. and Carly L. asking questions of the candidates, Ella W. running the lights and Jimmy J. operating the cameras for RETN who recorded the entire forum.

There is great coverage from the Burlington Free Press here, a full recording of the forum here, and video from WCAX below.

Swift House Theater Festival- November 9th

When NECAP testing wraps up students will begin auditioning for roles either in student-written "One-Act" plays or Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream.  Our goal is to get every student on stage, either with a speaking part or a supporting role.  Students will also be directing scenes, running the light and sound boards, painting sets and preparing props and costumes.  Most of the technical roles will include time on stage, with the exception of the students in charge of one large role (stage managers, directors, etc).  We have already asked students to commit to either being in the One Acts or Shakespeare, though it is not too late to change.  The next step is auditions for those who want a speaking role.  Please mark November 9th on your calendar for the big show!

NECAP Testing Reminders and Schedule

Below is our NECAP Schedule for the week of October 8th.  Please make sure students get plenty of sleep and eat a good breakfast.  As you see, we have two sessions each day, Monday through Friday. The first will be at 9:45 and the second at 12:45.  We would love to have parents sign up to donate healthy snacks for each day.  For most people, NECAP testing will take place in their math classrooms.  If you'd like to sign up, please follow this link.
