- Volunteer your time
Washington DC
It's time to send in permission slips. As mentioned last week, we distributed packets to interested students in kiva. You can find links to the necessary paperwork in last week's Flyer, or ask your daughter or son to pick up a packet in the Swift kiva.Theater
We are blocking scenes on stage, learning some stage combat, rehearsing lines over and over, pulling out costume pieces and props, and are basically fully immersed in the theater process. At the moment, all of this work takes place during our literature block. It's incredible what these kids can get done in a short amount of time!We do need your help in two ways:
- Costume Pieces: Please help your son or daughter assemble the necessary basic layers listed here
- Save the Date: Thursday, November 8th at 6:00 pm- Students will need to arrive at least an hour earlier for costumes and make-up. We'll send out more details as the date gets closer.
