A Busy Last Week
We are so proud of our (now graduated) 8th graders! Last Tuesday they each presented their 8th Grade Challenge Projects to panels of community members. Our 8th graders were knowledgeable, passionate and poised. The community panelists were beyond impressed.

We celebrated the 8th Graders again at Sandbar State Park with unique awards for each one of them, along with an amazing lunch and perfect weather. We owe a HUGE thank you to parent Chris Lablanc for bringing our picnic to whole new levels. Not only did he bring his own grill, he brought a fryer too so we could have fresh french fries!

Ms. Bliss
We also said goodbye to Ms. Bliss this week as she wraps up her position as the Swift House TA. She did an amazing job of filling in for Lisa Barland. We will certainly see her around school as she will continue to sub.

Washington DC
Our trip to DC allowed for many wonderful experiences, with each student having their own schedule and so much to see! 8th graders all scheduled interviews with experts in a field related to their 8th grade challenge. All others visited a site related to their independent project research. Between the 62 students who attended we visited every major site in the city!
