We did our best to cross-reference other events, but if you see any major conflicts, please do let us know.

Social Studies- WWII Projects

In the 7/8 Social Studies classes, students were asked to locate 10 compelling WWII photos to recap their learning and write a caption for each one. Students needed to use technology to produce their exhibition project. Please check out these wonderful examples of student work.

Snacks, Please

If you can... the next time you're out shopping, please pick up extra snacks for use in Swift House.  We provide snacks to students during school as needed, and to any students working here after school.  Granola bars, popcorn, crackers are all popular items!  Anything with a reasonable nutrition content and a good shelf-life would be greatly appreciated.

Dance-O-Rama

Our very own Mr. Glass represented Macklemore as a celebrity judge in today's 3rd and 4th grade Dance-O-Rama.  While a bit taller than the original Maclemore, the fur coat was a good fit (at least style-wise).

Moneywi$e Poster Contest

Congratulations to Griffin Cote for his 2nd place prize in the State Treasure's office poster contest!  He attended an awards ceremony for all of the winners around the state, six of whom were other WCS students. To read more visit Ms. Baker's blog.

Young Playwrights

Jimmy J wrote an impressive play entitled The Blind Date over the 3 months that the group met. His play was chosen as an Honorable mention (he will be included in the festival program)!! Many kudos to Jimmy for this accomplishment. I look forward to taking him and the rest of the group to the Flynn on May 13th!
