Grand Isle Camp OutWe had a busy two days in Grand Isle with events including the lap sit, egg toss, spider web and trust wave. In addition, students worked together to set up their camps and of course, cook a lot of bacon. Please visit out Swift House Photo Site for many photos of the events. The password is "flyforever."
As always, this camp out would not be possible without the many spirited parent chaperones overseeing the process and helping out wherever needed. Many other parents made it up for the bonfire and were treated to some talented musicians and some interesting skits.
There is a colorful collection of lost-and-found in our kiva remaining from the camp out. Items include:
*battery pack for lantern
*red wind breaker
*blue duffel bag
Please stop by this week if you are missing any of the above items and thank you again for your support. These two days at the camp out provide an essential team building opportunity which benefits us all year.
Adams Harvest Festival Tractor Driving FundraiserWe are still looking for tractor drivers for the Adams Harvest Festival. Our work here will raise funds for the trip to Washington DC next spring. The link to the Harvest Festival sign up can be found here. Please sign up if you are available. No previous tractor-driving experience is necessary.
Swift is also in need of an FAP representative to attend monthly meetings and communicate with the team. If you are interested in filling this role please contact Lisa Barland.
School-wide Student OpportunitiesEarly last week students attended an assembly in the auditorium where they learned about opportunities available for the school year, including Math Counts, the Blue and Gold, Leadership groups, the school musical, jazz band, and many more. There is an amazing variety of opportunities; to see the complete listing follow the link from our school web page.
