Fundraisers

The wagon rides at the Adam's Harvest Festival last weekend raised $1120 for the Swift House trip to Washington DC.  Thank you to everyone who helped, especially the Antonioli family for providing the opportunity to do it.

Swift will also be holding an ABS Fun Night on Oct. 6th to raise money for DC.  There will be more details on that to come.

Over $6000 has come in so far for the Williston Wins fundraising campaign that pays for all school field trip.  These donations are needed to fund field trips which will require no additional money out of pocket.  If you have not already done so, please donate here.

The FAP Steve Mount Memorial 5K Fun Run/Ride Needs Volunteers on Saturday, Sept. 22

Is someone in your family running? Can you come early to help set up or stay a little late to clean up? We need help monitoring the course, managing food & water, and taking registrations. Or perhaps you could be the lead cyclist. There are still plenty of FUN jobs that need to be filled. Please follow this link for details and to sign up.  Thank you for supporting this event!

Swift Camp Out in the Blue and Gold

Please take a moment to check out the great article that Alexis and Carly wrote for the Blue & Gold (The WSD Enrichment Online News Blog featuring news from throughout the School).  Thanks Carly and Alexis!

As always, student writers appreciate your comments (see space for "Leave a Comment" in the grey box directly below the article).  Please do check back throughout the year to read about what is happening in our schools!

Polar Express- December 8th

Swift House has a long tradition in helping with The Polar Express, which raises over $70,000 each year for the Vermont Children's Trust Foundation. Last year we had nearly half our team participate. We will be sending the details when the time gets closer, but we will meet around 2:45 at the downtown Burlington train station, and will be "elves" until 7:45. Gary Howard, our beloved retired Swift Facilitator, will be the "Santa" on this day and we will get our traditional Swift House photo with him! If you would like participate please sign up here.

Dear Swift Families,
Below you will find the meeting highlights from the FAPAC meeting held last week.  Swift House is still in need of a council representative. If you think you may be interested, but would like to find out more about the position, I would be happy to sit down with you.  Currently Swift House is the only house without a representative. – Liz Neeld, FAPAC Chair
